My roommate Kristine has started running, and she loves races. Last month she signed up for a Four Mile Race and asked me to join her as running buddy/cheerleader. The morning of the race there was a crazy thunderstorm outside. I dressed in my best rain gear and questioned Kristine's sanity for still wanting to go. On our way there she said to me "if you want to go get brunch instead, I won't tell anyone."
We thought about it, but ended up still going to the race. Kristine has great faith and prayed that the rain would calm down and it would just drizzle the whole time...and it did. Anyway, Kristine just sent me some pictures of us finishing the race, and I love this one of our crossing the finish line: Kristine determined to end well, and me cheering her on.
I LOVE that picture!!! Nice job ladies in choosing running over brunch. That chocolate place in Old Town sounds nice right about now.
