duck....duck....

This weekend I went to Duck Beach. 600 single LDS people from the East Coast and beyond gather at Duck Beach every Memorial Day weekend. It was fun. I brought my camera, but somehow only got pictures of when my friend came back to the car from the gas station and had bought a lottery ticket?!? Oh how I laughed!

Anyway, some highlights:

- we had lots of impromptu dance parties in our kitchen. I love dancing during breakfast.

- there were 35-40 people staying in our massive beach house. It was very fun and loud...except for Sunday afternoon when EVERYONE was napping.

- my bff Chad was there (staying at a house with people from NYC). Chad invented this "Gorilla game" where you act like a gorilla next to the pool and jump in the pool. I LOVE THIS GAME! Yesterday we were at my house playing the game (since no one else was there) and I am awesome at the game because of my abnormally long arms. Anyway, in the middle of the game we look up and see this random guy standing on the deck watching us. HAHAH. It was very funny. But we just kept on playing.

- also yesterday Chad and our friend Rustin came over to my house around lunch time. There was this sign that said if you're not staying at our house, don't eat our food. So I got a BIG plate of spaghetti and took it outside (along with three forks) and the three of us ate. We thought we were pretty sneaky until my roommate (aka the girl in charge of the house) Camille walked by. We tried being smooth then, and it worked until apparently my other roommate said "they are being awkward because they are eating our food." Busted!!!

- everyone goes to the local ward on Sunday, and so there are chairs lining the hallway and every part of the building. We sat in the primary room and it was piped in.

- the weather was perfect and the beach was nice and Saturday night my roommate Kristine and I walked along the beach at dusk and we had the place to ourselves and it was beautiful! I love the beach!

- I have a bang tan line on my forehead!
