$$

Today, for the first time in my life, I cannot pay my credit card bill.

I have been anticipating this moment for about a month, and at one point contemplated paying my tithing a bit late so I could (almost) cover my credit card bill this month. After a long struggle, I decided to pay my tithing first.

Unexpectedly checks have arrived from the oddest sources. For the past few weeks money has just shown up. It is an experience that I have never before had, and a testament to me of the power of tithing!

So even though I still cannot pay my whole bill, I can pay more of it than I expected.

  1. Any checks from the FTC v. Ira Smolev? (Did you know about that?) Seriously, that (your experience) is very cool.

  2. Firstly, awesome. I remember having a similar experience when we were first married. We had no idea how we would pay our bills on our newlywed/newlypoor income. But by paying our tithing first, we saw many miracles. :)

Second, can you pass along my address to all of these mysterious check delivery services?

Finally, love the new decor. :)

  3. Awesome story. Now you can be one of my object lessons on tithing. Aren't you proud? :)
