Two years ago my friend Grant mentioned the idea of going to Taco Bell and ordering "one of everything." I thought about this WAY more than I should have, and have been laughing about it for years. Yesterday I decided to stop being all talk and live my dreams!
I gathered some friends to come help me eat at the Taco Bell in the CougarEat at BYU. Luckily it is actually a Taco Bell Express, meaning there are only about 25 menu items... Anyway, we met and I nervously approached the counter. When it was my turn to order I said "I'll have one of everything, please." The guy lo

oked at me and then motioned for me to go order from a different register. So I went to the girl next to him and ordered. She said "one of everything, everything?" and then I said yes so she went through the menu item by item and I kept on having to reply "yes" - even down to the small/medium/and large drinks.
Amazing thing! My total was only $43! And Luckily two more people wal

ked by we knew while we were waiting for our food so we were able to eat it all!! It was SO FUN! And someday maybe I'll have enough money to try this at a restaurant other than Taco Bell...

All the food!

It was a lot of food...
i sooo wish i was there. come out-we'll go to the jessup taco bell. they have a fryer=double the excitement

Your receipt still said, "Thank you. Come Again." I guess they'll have you back.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever use of your campus meal plan! This was your funniest post to date.

That makes me miss you like crazy because you know I would have so been there for total menu consumption! And now I'm so inspired I might have to try it myself. Maybe you've started a new fad - we'll call it Rachel's Total Menu Consumption and the motto will be "Can't decide what to eat? Why not order EVERYTHING?!" It could be the anti-"Supersize Me" experiment. YAY!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad I missed this event as well; sorry my trip to Virginia made it nigh impossible. Give me a call when you try this at Red Robin.
ReplyDeleteI actually found myself giggling out loud while reading this post.
