My bff Chad's aunt: "Chad, would you be up for going on a blind date?"
Chad: "Yes..."
Aunt: "My visiting teacher works at the temple and was telling me about these two girls she works with who are so fun and cute! I told her I had a single nephew, and we wanted to set you up."
Chad: "What are their names?"
Aunt: "Rachel Murdock..."
Chad: "RACHEL MURDOCK?!?!?"
Aunt: "You know Rachel?"
Chad: "YES! What is the other girl's name?"
Aunt: "Bethany Cole. Do you know Bethany?"
Chad: [laughter] "It wouldn't be much of a blind date!"
that's hilarious!! Girl, why do I never come to DC to meet you for lunch? What's wrong with me? We'll have to get together soon!
ReplyDeleteHA HA! I love it! I'm glad your fun and cute personalities shine through even at the temple!
ReplyDeleteI am telling you, meant to be! I LOVE THIS!!!
ReplyDeleteso are you going on the date or what?
ReplyDeleteI'm with Janae. A date is a date. Work it, girl! Except is Chad meant for you or for Bethany? Or both??
ReplyDeleteWho was the visiting teacher/temple worker? Gosh, no one ever offers to set ME up with their cute nephews? I gotta get on that train!
ReplyDeleteHooray for crappy punctuation!
ReplyDeleteSister Zimmerman! It was the second time it's happened, too. Sister Hatch set us up, too.
ReplyDeleteAt least you know you're "set-up worthy."
ReplyDeleteTell Chad you three should go on a "date" just for the fun of it.
I think he should take you on real dates, separately. I think the Church frowns on the "meant to be with both" thing. Although, since it is apparently a temple inspiration date they might make an exception.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING story! I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteIncredibly hilarious/hilariously incredible! (hilariously???)
