A while back my law school bffs and I decided to meet in Phoenix for President's Day Weekend. It was warm and beautiful and we went shopping and I got to meet up with a lot of friends! Loved it! Brooktynn lives there, and we went to her YW while there and they told us we were like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and they loved us and it was great fun.

This picture is weird, but it's my favorite one of the trip. Kari was obsessed with stealing citrus from trees...Brooktynn said the house across the street from her was vacant and they had a lemon tree. So Kari couldn't reach the lemon; I put Stacey on my shoulders and we got Kari her lemon! Note the orange in Kari's hand that she grabbed somewhere else on our walk...
Then I drove to Provo with Kari, Stacey, and Brooktynn's sister Jordan. The drive from Phoenix to Provo took less time than it took for me to fly from D.C. to Phoenix, so I was happy. I arrived in Provo, went directly with Gillian to see Dave & Sarah Peris' 4-day old baby, and then we ate and it was just too much fun. I really love and miss Provo. I saw some friends and then hustled to Idaho Falls!!I spent 36 hours in Idaho Falls with James and his family. It was great. The whole family is cute, but check out this picture of Will!!! I stole it from James' blog, and it is the cutest thing I've ever seen:
When James and Will first picked me up from the bus stop, Will just stared at me, silent. Luckily he got over the shock of seeing me, and soon started chatting! We had a great time playing soccer, helping James remember that The Office IS very funny (especially when Angela photographs the baby a la anne geddes), watching Emily's amazing Monopoly come-back, eating the deliciousness of the Murdock gourmets, and enjoying spending time with my favorite people on the planet. The trip was far too short.
(here is a picture of the whole family, so they don't feel slighted by my singling out Will above. Plus this picture is so cute!)

All of the trips were far too short, actually--so don't be offended if I did not see you while I was in your respective town! Next time I promise to come visit for more than a day.
Catchy title. ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun, gladder your back!
I told my YW how much fun you all had and they all said that they want you to come back! So cute!
ReplyDeleteWait, I thought you said our baby was the cutest thing you'd ever seen??
ReplyDeleteOh well, at least you'll have plenty of stuff to share in testimony meeting now.
"I saw some friends ..."? That's it? I mean, even Benji's heart thumping expose of his newfound love life couldn't make the cut ("Go on ...").
ReplyDeleteStill, lovely times. Glad you made it back safe.
We'll take whatever we can get of you! We loved it.
