So one of Russell's high school buddies has become my D.C. buddy. Last night I said something and his only response was "you are exactly like Russell." He then went on to discuss how the Murdocks are all exactly the same. I think it came down to something like confident cynics. I always preferred "attractive geniuses," but whatever.Thoughts?
I say you are a gorgeous genius, but you'll have to ask Gary if he would say the same for James. Just imagine Gary calling James that . . .
ReplyDeleteThis is true Emily. I was trying to think of who would know us independently and not be related to us. You and Gary work!! And I'm sure Gary would admit that James is gorgeous. :)
ReplyDeleteUpdate: Gary said, immediately, "both." Then said, "and P.S., I am confident with my manhood, so it's okay."
ReplyDeletehahah...that is too great. Gary is an excellent judge of character.
ReplyDeleteAre you all alike? No. Are you all loveable? Yes. The last time I checked neither Russell, James or John were excited about wearing gaudy jewelry to an opera, or seeing Edward Cullen on the silverscreen. Furthermore I don't believe that you have written a science fiction novel yet. Sorry but I don't think you are all the same. You are all handsome though. Seriously so many good looking people in your family! And that includes your Mom's Dad who passed away. I have seen pictures. He was attractive.
ReplyDeletePlus you are kind of optimistic so I'm not sure about the totally cynical thing either...Of course your brothers might be really cynical and I just don't know because I don't know them as well. John isn't cynical though...he looks forward to things like school, and special meals. He totally blows your cynical theory too.
ReplyDeleteI guess I should weigh in here. You should tell this new friend that it does not end with the middle children; that on the bookends you have brothers with rage who sit in front of computers all day looking at cartoon characters. We really throw off the whole equation.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think I am more accurately described as a terrified optimist.
James! The "new friend" is Wayne Couregges III!
ReplyDeleteCan I be an attractive genius too? I AM a Murdock. Although our side of the family seemed to have missed out on the law gene.
ReplyDeleteI think your Mom and Dad should weigh in on this whole "are you all the same conversation." I bet they could tell us some pretty awesome distinguishing characteristics of each of you...
ReplyDeleteSci-fi?
ReplyDeleteWho is J?
Who is Wayne Allen Couregges III?
How did you know his middle name is Allen?
ReplyDeleteJ=Jackie (roommate my first year of law school)
Sci-fi?!?
