I saw this today and loved it: http://cityguides.msn.com/citylife/cityarticle.aspx?cp-documentid=11292324
Apparently I moved from the most conservative city in the country (Provo) to the most liberal (D.C.).
This explains one of my favorite Provo moments...it's the morning after the 2000 election. I am sitting in an English class before it started and some girl who sits next to me starts talking to me about the election. She tells me how she thinks there has been a mistake: there is no way it is seemingly tied between Bush and Gore. After all, not a single person she's talked to voted for Gore!
I tried to explain to her that she was, after all, at BYU...
HA! That is so funny! Man, good old BYU...
ReplyDeleteGood grief. I'm sure that girl is wondering why the democratic candidate even runs.
ReplyDeleteAny time you want a good dose of "The Bubble" to balance out your DC living, just let me know.
And even after speaking with you, she still hadn't spoken to anyone who had voted for Gore!
ReplyDeleteOh my dear, sweet, misled Rachel.
