FINALS FUN

Finals are over; I was actually able to wrap everything up in three days and then head to Idaho Falls for a while to help my brother James and his family move in. I left there on Monday, then headed to Texas on Tuesday and am now home. It's 70 degrees!! Russell and I are hanging out (he finished his first semester of finals at U Texas Law on Tuesday). Russell gave me some attitude about not writing on my blog--so here is some more!

Finals are an intense time at the Law School. This photo journal will give you a taste:

Sleeping on your law school carrel: a bad sign.

Taking pictures of people pretending to sleep on their carrel because you are at school so much it becomes your entire social life:
a worse sign?
"Wow--I am huge."

We really need to get out more.

When things get too loud in the law library and you want to "get away," how about making a bubble around your carrel? Just a note--when you do this, people walk by and you can't help but laugh because it is weird.

Here is my carrelmate Stacey inside the bubble.

Here we are on our third annual SweatPants Day at the law school! It was HUGE this year, and also prompted a lot of sweatpants wearing for the remainder of the semester.

And sometimes the bubble can become a wall, so no one can see us and we can't see them. But, it does seem to attract a lot of curious visitors, and thus negate all the purposes of the wall.

My substantial writing requirement was finished this year. It was due at 5 p.m. on Tuesday; I turned it in at 4:56 p.m. Early! And 38 pages of bashing a Supreme Court decision.

  1. turning a paper in 4 minutes early, way to go. 38 pages of Supreme Court bashing...I have yet to write something so long...but I have 5 YEARS left. Sheesh. Btw, I was going through some old emails and I found one from you about a single guy with a minivan in Australia--funny funny.
