Beckie and her baby Elaina came in town, and we went to Mt. Vernon. It was BEAUTIFUL. Let me share the highlight of our time there, as told by Beckie:"Rachel, Elaina and I went to Mt. Vernon to see Washington's beautiful home. It was a very
enjoyable time. The BEST part: Eavesdropping on the middle school groups that were also touring. I was very intrigued to find out that: 'Rachel has been taken to the hospital. Some of you may have heard that she was having stomach problems. She was taken AS A PRECAUTION. I want all of you to know that NO ONE AT HOME NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!! Do not TEXT this to anyone! Do NOT call your parents and let them know. Anyone that needs to know will be informed by myself or Mr. Nichols. And I AM SURE THAT THE PARENT CHAPERONES WILL AGREE!!! NO ONE at home, in Clayton needs to know.'"

Elaina's first slumber party! Friday night we had a party at our house, and Bethany ended up sleeping on the bed with Beckie and Elaina since we were up until 3 a.m.
Saturday morning Scott and Janae decided to turn freshman ward 10 year reunion into Barlow Center 6 year reunion, so they joined us for breakfast at Eastern Market! delicious!
Bethany, though not technically a part of our freshman ward, also joined.
Saturday night we walked around the monuments.
And Chad came down from NYC!
Elaina loves America!
While trying to figure out what was open at 11 p.m. so we could go eat dinner, they started playing charades. haha. I love my friends.
Sunday everyone got to attend my Marriage Prep class (lucky) and then we came home and put on our matchie scratchies from Puerto Rico. I love reunions!

ReplyDeleteIt was good to see you in Richmond! After I left the reception, I felt awful because I should have invited you to stay at my house if you needed a place to crash that night! I'm sorry! Anyway, you are more than welcome to stay with me any time in the future . . . even though I wasn't invited to our freshman ward reunion! ;)
Hard to believe it's been 10 years. I'm going to pretend that the reason I wasn't invited is because I live so far away, not because I'm not in the cool group (don't burst my bubble). :)
