My roommates and I were a little paranoid that we wouldn't be able to fit voting into our day of work/commute --especially since the polls are only open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. We hoped the lines would be better in the morning, so we left the house WAY too early and arrived at the polls at 5:45 a.m. There was already quite the line.

Here was the back of the line when we left a little after 7 a.m. Amazingly enough we made it to work on time!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this blog entry.
ReplyDeleteRachey Baby!! Oh sorry, this is Jen Wells (Griffin). I was reading Jessica Howard's blog and stumbled across your's in a round about way. (i took a stroll down memory lane incidentally) How the heck are you?!! I have been thinking about you and how you were but didn't have a way of contacting you and then...BAM...there you were! I have to say you look AWESOME! I would love to catch up. My email is nifer_wells@hotmail.com.
ReplyDeleteI think people in Utah had the same idea, because the lines were extremely long all morning long, especially before work, but then by evening it was completely dead. Also, the lines were very long during early voting the past few weeks. So, it paid to procrastinate. If you showed up at 6PM, you had no line at all.
ReplyDeleteYou are a raving beauty!! I wish I was going to be here in Austin to see you when you come but we are going to be in Utah then. I'm sorry your line was so incredibly long. No fun at all. Are you planning a trip here later on?? I should just email you- I'll do that! Love you!!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in these pictures.
