So I am lame and really, really like my hide-a-bed. My friend suggested that I not bring any movies with me as I am living in Australia. And I thought that was a good idea, so I didn't. But then on Saturday I was cooking dinner ( I have decided to try my hand at cooking - I made Indian food - it was great) and I turned on the T.V. and found the Simpsons! Yeah! And then afterward "Everybody Loves Raymond" was on, and I had never seen it before but it is wonderful. So I pulled out the hide-a-bed and had a brilliant time. Don't worry - I'd already spent the day at the beach - I won't waste my entire summer watching American television (which, by the way, is all they really watch here anyway. I was pleased to go to K-Mart and realize that I recognized all of the movies they were selling). Also please note Michelangelo’s painting above my couch - it has now been to three continents with me (I purchased it in Italy when I went there in 2004).
This is my balcony. It is amazing. Except for my neighbor smokes all the time on his balcony so I have to go back inside. But I had a lovely Sabbath reading out here.
